ALPA (YAC) Young Auctioneers Competitions.

2019 ALPA NSW & NAIONAL YOUNG AUCTIONEERS COMPETITION RESULTS:
The 2019 ALPA NSW Young Auctioneers Competition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show on Friday 12th April NSW.
Angus MacTavish of Elders in Walcha was declared the 2019 ALPA NSW Young Auctioneers Competition winner, earning himself the John Weekes Memorial Shield and a place in the 2020 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition.
Coming in second was Cooper Byrnes of Langlands Hanlon in Parkes. Cooper will also represent New South Wales in the 2020 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition. The Max Bailey Encouragement Award went to Ben McMahon of Lehman Stock & Property in Inverell.

In the national competition, Anthony O’Dwyer of GDL in Dalby was awarded the title of the 2019 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition winner. Later this year, Anthony will go on to represent Australia in the International Livestock Auctioneers Competition at the Calgary Stampede, Canada, thanks to Quadrant Agtours. In addition to the overseas opportunity, Anthony took home the Prosser Cup and several other prizes. Joe Allen of Elders in Euroa was the 2019 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition runner- up and will go to New Zealand to sell.
Each year the NAB Agribusiness Team Shield is awarded to the state with the highest combined score. This year QLD, represented by Anthony O’Dwyer of GDL Dalby and Jack Henshaw of Elders in Goondiwindi, won the NAB Team Shield
2019.

2018 ALPA VIC YOUNG AUCTIONEERS COMPETITION RESULTS:.
Joe Allen, Elders, Euroa was announced the winner and runner up was Joshua McDonald, SKB Rodwells, Warrnambool. $20,000 was raised at the dinner and competition for Legacy. So far this year ALPA events have raised over $53,612 for Legacy. Watch replay CLICK HERE

2018 ALPA QLD YOUNG AUCTIONEERS COMPETITION RESULTS:
The ALPA Queensland Young Auctioneers dinner was held on Thursday, 9th August with 216 members and industry guests attending. The charity auction raised almost $7,500 for Legacy.The winner of the ALPA Queensland competition was Brent Williams, Elders Charters Towers and the runner up was Anthony O’Dwyer, GDL Dalby. 2018 ALPA SA YOUNG AUCTIONEERS COMPETITION RESULTS:
ALPA held an auctioneers school at the Naracoorte Regional Livestock Exchange on Monday 30 July, where agents were put through their paces with the assistance of speech pathologist Lou Philpott and presenters Tom Dennis, Elders Naracoorte and Richard Miller, Landmark Naracoorte. Josh Reeves from Elders Naracoorte was named the South Australian representative for the 2019 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
